From visiting the IPM Live show at the Birmingham NEC this week it seems that the majority of exhibitors are still giving away old favourites such as promotional pens and promotional mugs. Both are still some of the top used office items and Brits sup over 150 million cups of tea a day, so it’s no wonder promotional mugs are still as popular as ever.
My last blog was about reusable promotional shopper bags and how they are mobile advertising billboard. On arrival at IPM Live we were given a large carrier bag which was sponsored by a carrier bag supplier who was exhibiting at the event. This was a smart move as many of the visitors were carrying this bag around the exhibition filling it with the marketing literature and promotional goodies given away by the exhibitors. They propably got the most exposure out of the whole exhibition – I even saw these bags on the train on the way home so more people than the show visitors got to see them too.
